Our Initiatives and Projects

Supported by the Education Cannot Wait Fund, the Global Partners' Project brings the Global Education Cluster, United Nations Refugee Agency and the Inter-agency Network for Education in Emergencies together to address evidence gaps around joint planning, coordination and response to improve education outcomes for children and youth living in humanitarian contexts.

With financial support from DG ECHO and technical assistance from CashCap/NORCAP, the Global Education Cluster is undertaking critical work to deepen the limited evidence around cash and voucher assistance to highlight its potential within the education sector.

In partnership with the Permanent Mission of Switzerland and Permanent Mission of Norway, the Global Education Cluster launched the four-part Elevating Education in Emergencies series to advocate for the prioritization of education by illustrating its pivotal role within humanitarian response.

Generous support from the Education Cannot Wait fund has been critical in reinforcing core cluster capacities, chiefly capacity development, evidence and guidance, field support and advocacy and communications. 

Support from the Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG-ECHO) has been instrumental in reinforcing and expanding the Global Education Clusters’ Capacity Development, Needs Assessment and Cash and Voucher Assistance work, and Rapid Response Mechanisms.

The Global Education Cluster Partners Forum is a dedicated platform to discuss priorities, advocacy and thematic issues related to education in emergencies coordination.
