One year of war in Gaza: Education keeps children's dreams alive

One year after the start of the war in Gaza, children are still dreaming. 94.7% of schools have sustained some level of damage and 87.4% will need full reconstruction or major rehabilitation work to become functional again. While some are able to attend classes in informal learning spaces, 659,000 children could not return to school this academic year.

Despite immense challenges on the ground, the Education Cluster in Palestine continues to work with partners to deliver an effective education humanitarian response for children while hostilities continue.
