A new analysis by the GEC of the 2025 HNRP re-prioritization exercise reveals a stark reality for Education in Emergencies. Based on figures from 21 Education Clusters:
- the global funding requirements for Education were reduced by 33% and target numbers by 43%
- the range of funding and target number reductions reaches up to 90%
- compared to the "Big Five" Clusters (food security, protection, WASH, health and nutrition), the reductions in education are more pronounced
