GEC Launches Set of New e-Learning Courses

The Global Education Cluster has developed a set of five e-learning courses to support the integration of key thematic streams into coordinated Education in Emergencies responses.

With a dedicated module for each thematic priority - Localisation, Inclusion, Child Participation, Gender and GBV, and MHPSS - the aim is to support the work of Education Cluster Coordinators and Information Management Officers at national and sub-national levels, as well as humanitarian professionals who contribute to the education response in emergency contexts.

By the end of each course, participants will understand what the respective thematic areas are and how to integrate them throughout all the phases of the Humanitarian Programme Cycle (HPC). The Localisation course was developed jointly between the Global Education Cluster, the Global WASH Cluster, the Global Nutrition Cluster and the Child Protection Area of Responsibility.

The five new online courses, available in English, French, Arabic and Spanish, supplement two existing courses: Child safeguarding in coordination of education and other clusters/ AoRs and Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) in humanitarian coordination.
